Peak events challenges made easy

Our smart thermostats optimize your energy use during peak hours with their automated preheating feature. Your home is warmed up before the event begins, reducing your consumption during the event —effortlessly.

Small device. Big savings.

Did you know that hot water consumption accounts for 20% of the electricity bill and is the 2nd largest source of electricity consumption in a home?

Enjoy substantial savings on your electricity bill by automatically turning off your water heater remotely during peak times or via your mobile device when you leave home for a few days.

Lifetime savings

In addition to Peak Saver events management, our thermostats can help you save up to 25% on your electricity bill. Thanks to automation, personalized schedules and geofencing, your home consumes only the energy it needs - at the right time, with or without a peak event.

What to expect during a peak event?
  • You don't have to do anything except register via the Neviweb app and select a profile. We will remotely adjust your Sinopé devices by turning off the load controller during peak periods or lowering the temperature setpoint according to the selected profile.
  • An event will not last more than four consecutive hours.
  • You can opt out of an event at any time by pressing any button on your devices.
  • You will always have full control over your devices.
What are the different Peak Saver program seasons?

BC Hydro offer Peak Saver device enrollment during two seasons: winter and summer.

  • Winter season: November through March.
  • Summer season: June through September.
What happens during a Peak Saver challenge?

The devices included in this bundle are designed to easily handle Peak Saver challenges without requiring any additional effort.

Before the challenge, the thermostat preheats your home to maximize your savings.

During the challenge, it lowers its energy consumption while ensuring the temperature matches the profile selected by the homeowner in the Eco Sinopé feature of the Sinopé app.

After the challenge, the thermostat returns to its normal operation.

The Calypso controller shuts off power to the water heater during Peak Saver challenges, allowing you to continue using hot water as usual. In case of excessive hot water use, the controller restores power to maintain the water temperature at a safe level for consumption.

How do I earn Peak Saver rewards?

In the Sinopé thermostat range, it’s clearly an excellent value for money. It works perfectly. My favorite now.

— Pierre-Olivier B.about the thermostat

I love the design and it's very silent, no more noisy clicks every time my old thermostat would start. Very good value for its price point, probably the best I could find. Good job

— Martin B.about the thermostat

How about a rebate on your next purchase of thermostats offered by your power utility?

Heads up!

We noticed your cart contains both Zigbee and Wi-Fi devices. These two technologies work differently and are not directly compatible.

  • Wi-Fi devices connect to your home router.
  • Zigbee devices require a Zigbee hub or compatible gateway.
