Who can qualify?
To be eligible for the discount, you must:
- Be an Enbridge Gas customer with an active account and primarily heat your home with a natural gas furnace or boiler OR be connected to the Ontario electricity grid and heat or cool your home electrically.*
- Have not previously received a smart thermostat rebate, discount or device from Enbridge Gas, Save on Energy or the Home Renovation Savings program..
- Live in a single/semi-detached home, row/townhome or mobile home on a permanent foundation. Participants who reside in multi-unit residential buildings, condominiums are not eligible for the Instant Rebate.
*Cornwall Electric customers are connected to the Hydro-Québec electricity grid and therefore are not eligible to participate.
How do I get my discount before purchasing the thermostat?
Option 1 - Before you buy the thermostat
- Apply for your $100 instant rebate by filling out this form.
- Once you receive your code via email, purchase one of the eligible thermostats sold on our online store*. Use the code at checkout to receive a $100 discount on your purchase.
- Install your smart thermostat and connect to Wi-Fi to save energy. For installation and setup instructions, refer to the installation guide in the product box.
*Only the TH6250WF model is sold directly through our online store. The other versions are available through professionals.
How do I get my discount if I've already purchased the thermostat?
Option 2 - After you buy the thermostat
After purchasing one of the eligible smart thermostats* listed above through a professional or online:
- Claim your $100 rebate by filling out this form. Upload your receipt within 60 days of purchase to receive your rebate.
- Once installed, connect your smart thermostat to Wi-Fi to save energy. For installation and setup instructions, refer to the installation guide in the product box.
*Only the TH6250WF model is sold directly through our online store. The other versions (TH6250WF-PRO and TH6500WF) are available through professionals.
Is there a maximum incentive I can receive?
One rebate ($100) per household for a smart thermostat, which must be connected to the home’s primary heating system. The smart thermostat must control your primary heating or cooling system, which (in the case of a heating system) must be a furnace fueled by natural gas supplied by Enbridge, or electricity supplied by the grid managed by the IESO via a local distribution company (LDC), or a hybrid system combining natural gas and electricity.
Is there a deadline for submitting my application?
You must purchase, install and activate a qualified Smart Thermostat between January 28, 2025, and December 31, 2026. If you are requesting the rebate after your purchase, you must submit your request within 60 days of purchasing an eligible smart thermostat.
Which Sinopé devices are eligible for the $100 discount offered by Enbridge?
The following three models of thermostats for central heating systems are eligible for the discount: TH6250WF, TH6250WF-PRO and TH6500WF.
