Comment mon thermostat peut-il contribuer à économiser sur ma facture d'électricité?

Quelle est la différence entre la commutation à TRIAC et à relais?
La commutation à TRIAC permet le fonctionnement en cycles courts (15 secondes), assurant la stabilité et le maintien de la température de la pièce. Les appareils qui utilisent ce type de commutation sont silencieux.
La commutation à relais utilise uniquement des cycles longs (15 minutes) pour permettre à l’appareil de pousser efficacement l’air chaud dans la pièce lors de l’utilisation d’un ventiloconvecteur, par exemple. Cette commutation émet un son à l’activation du relais.

Puis-je contrôler plusieurs appareils de chauffage avec le même thermostat?
Oui! Il faut simplement vous assurer que la charge totale ne dépasse pas la capacité maximale du thermostat. Voici comment calculer la puissance requise du thermostat.
Puis-je connecter un appareil correspondant à la charge maximale supportée par mon thermostat?
Oui! Vous pouvez avoir une charge de 3000W contrôlée par un thermostat de 3000W. Seul le disjoncteur du panneau électrique requiert un appareil avec une charge inférieure à la charge maximale supportée par l’appareil.

Après avoir installé différents modèles de thermostats intelligents, les Sinopé (St-Jean-sur-Richelieu) se sont avérés être les plus performants et les plus simples à installer. Tout est bien avec Sinopé: l’installation, la programmation, l’affichage, tout.
J’ai finalement changé tous les thermostats existants en plus d’ajouter des thermostats pour le plancher de salle de bain et pour le chauffe-eau.

Merci pour votre avis. Il est déjà possible de modifier le rétroéclairage de l'écran de votre appareil si vous allez dans les paramètres de ce dernier dans l'appli Sinopé. Vous pourrez choisir parmi les 3 modes offerts, notamment le mode Chambre qui permet de s'ajuster en fonction de la lumière ambiante et qui s'éteint en dessous de 20% de luminosité.

Attendez en décembre, nous sommes actuellement en juillet. Votre quête de commentaires est beaucoup trop tôt. Une petite observation; je ne peux plus monter la température de quelques degrés dans la salle de bain si je n’ai pas mon téléphone, à moins que vous ayez un me solution.

Merci pour votre commentaire. Les demandes d'avis sont envoyées automatiquement quelques semaines après l'achat, d'où la raison pour laquelle vous l'avez reçu maintenant et non pendant l'hiver.
Vous devriez être en mesure de contrôler la température de l'appareil directement via les boutons du thermostat, et non seulement avec votre téléphone. La présence d'horaire, de consigne maximale/minimale ou le verrouillage du clavier peuvent interférer avec le contrôle de la température. Nous vous invitons à vérifier tous ces paramètres afin de voir si vous êtes en mesure de contrôler votre appareil manuellement par la suite.

Si l'appareil a été installé récemment et qu'il n'a pas eu à chauffer la pièce, alors il est possible que le graphique de consommation affiche seulement la température extérieure comme il n'a pas eu à fonctionner. En temps normal, les graphiques montrent la consommation d'électricité en dollars (coût d'utilisation) et en kilowattheures (énergie utilisée dans le temps), et ce, pour 48h, 30 jours ou 24 mois. Vous verrez également les données de température extérieure comme vous le mentionnez.

Unclear and incomplete documents, even using QR code included in packaging, Crude, awkward in programming because scheduling seems to be resident in each device, unlike Hilo, or Lutron systems.
Unclear « mode » designations, some not explained at all in documents or on Neviweb app.
Disappointing, as we have had a great experience with the Sedna water protection system. This software design is not a success!

The schedules can indeed be programmed for each device, and it is possible to copy the settings for other devices if you want to keep the same schedule. As for Hilo, they are using scenes, which isn't the same feature. We also have the possibility to create scenes in our Sinopé Neviweb app if this is what you want to use: https://support.sinopetech.com/en/neviweb/2.4.1

Not working with complex wifi password
Hi, I had issues connecting the thermostat to the wifi, ending up creating another network just for three thermostat.
My main wifi network contain space and ' characters. All 50+ devices on my network are working with that not sinope. If I buy others they will be ZigBee my ZigBee sinope thermostat worked like a charm.

I have six Sinope thermostats. Very easy to setup and can control from my phone from anywhere. I like the features of inside and outside temperatures, clock and weather. Will be putting more in my home.

Documentation is inconsistent and hard to find
The thermostat itself is fine. However, you have to download the installation instructions and the manual using a QR code. When you do so, the website you are taken to is confusing and inconsistent, as is the documention.
Furthermore, I bought the TW1144WF specifically because I have baseboard heaters and a convection heater on the same circuit. The TW1144WF is supposed to support both, and the on-line instructions I was able to find after an hour of searching does indicate that I should access the advanced settings menu and set the control cycle to Long. However, there is no option in the advanced settings menu to adjust the cycle - only an option to switch between F and C, and between English and French.
All in all, a disappointing experience.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that the device isn't compatible with your installation. You probably landed on the support center with the QR code, which provides detailed information on device installation, usage, and troubleshooting. It also includes the installation manual and the product data sheet.
Compatibility information is available on the product pages when purchasing each device, in the Compatibility checker and in the product fact sheet. As mentioned on the TH1143WF/TH1144WF pages, this model isn't compatible with fan-forced convector, but only with electric baseboard, convector (short cycle) and radiant ceiling. The right models for the fan-forced convector (long cycle) are the TH1133WF/TH1134WF thermostats, which require 3 wires for the installation. If that isn't compatible with your installation, the TH1123ZB/TH1124ZB models would be the only other option (as for them, they require a GT130 hub).

Pour toute programmation intelligente (comme les scènes ou les horaires), il faut effectivement le faire via l'appli Sinopé Neviweb actuellement.

Replacement thermostat replacing TH1124WF
Previous TH1124WF exhibited EOL error, caused by baseboards being at the limit of the thermostat capacity. I reduced the size of the baseboards and installed this new model TH144WF. It broadly works fine and is remotely controllable via the Neviweb App similar to the previous version. However, the LCD display is smaller, less information and in the Sinope Neviweb app Settings, a missing feature which is available in previous model - Advanced ( Main Cycle Length) allowing you to select Short cycle or Long cycle. When I purchased this thermostat, I assumed this was an upgraded (better) model than previous version and was not aware of the limitations on this new model. I am not sure the previous model TH1124WF is available, but would have preferred the previous model as all my other thermostats are the same. In the photos, the first is the new TH1144WF, the second is the TH1124WF.

Thank you for your review. The LCD is indeed smaller, but it displays the same information as the previous version, plus the weather conditions. As you mentionned, you cannot select a cycle with this thermostat because it is not compatible with fan-forced convectors (which requires the long cycle). If you want a model that is compatible with fan-forced convector, you'll have to choose the TH1133WF version (Wi-Fi) or the TH1123ZB one (Zigbee, which requires the GT130 hub).

The thermostat consistently shows a higher temperature reading that what the room is actually at so does not work when it drops below meaning that the room is colder than it was with the previous thermostat.

Temperature calibration can vary slightly from one thermostat model to another. It’s therefore possible that the set temperature required to achieve the same level of comfort may differ from one unit to another.
Rest assured, however: even if the setpoint needs to be adjusted—for example, from 21°C to 22°C—this does not mean your heating system is consuming more energy. The thermostat simply maintains the desired room temperature, and the heating load remains the same to achieve that level of comfort.
We will still report your case to our R&D team to bring this to their attention.

Easy to install. Works well.
The Sinope thermostats were very easy to install. Once the first one is connected to the internet the others are quicker to connect. The only issue I have is that I can’t add them to Hilo scenes. This means I have to go to Hilo app for some devices and the Simope app for these thermostats.

En ce qui concerne les primes, les appareils qui ont déjà bénéficié d’une aide financière d’Hydro-Québec par le passé ne sont plus admissibles à une nouvelle prime.
Toutefois, tout nouvel achat est généralement admissible à une prime (s’il fait partie des appareils compatibles), à condition que la limite de primes par catégorie d’appareils n'ait pas été atteinte.
Les limites sont les suivantes : un maximum de 10 thermostats pour plinthes électriques et planchers chauffants, 2 thermostats basse tension ou pour système central, ainsi que 2 contrôleurs de chauffe-eau Calypso par compte. Cette mention se trouve dans la page de l'offre sur notre site web, dans les conditions d'Hilo ainsi que dans notre section FAQ.

I use these to balance my heat pump heating system so that my offer rooms that have electric baseboards are not over driving themselves and thus keeping my electric bill lower. I love these. They’re so easy to use. I have three in use and if I had more baseboard heaters, I would use more.

Merci pour votre avis. Il est normal que vous ayez l'impression que votre thermostat fonctionne constamment. Nos thermostats de plinthes fonctionnent à triac, ce qui implique que ces derniers chauffent presque en continu. Ils ne font pas juste se mettre en marche et arrêter comme les thermostats à roulette par exemple. Ils ajustent la puissance petit à petit pour garder la température très stable, à environ ±0,5 °C près. De plus, vous pouvez consulter les graphiques de consommation dans votre appli Sinopé Neviweb pour voir la consommation en kWh et en $ de vos appareils. Cela vous permettra de voir qu'ils ne consomment pas à tous les moments de la journée.
Pour ce qui est du remboursement Hilo, nous sommes désolés de savoir que vous ne l'avez pas encore reçu. Nous avons fait escalader le tout auprès de nos contacts chez Hilo comme ce sont eux qui gèrent les envois de la prime. Apple home couldn’t connect
I wanted to be able to use Siri/Apple home to control the temperature. The instructions said there would be a QR code or setup pin included in the packaging but there wasn’t any. Otherwise it works well, displays outside weather and seems to modulate the electrical current while my previous analog thermostat was either fully on or off.

Love the thermostat but the connection for Apple home need improvement! Connection with the code on the screen takes many tries to work! Once you remove the thermostat from the Apple app the thermostat will still stay connected and you need to reset all settings on the thermostat

L'interface de contrôle (Neviweb) est vraiment très complète, possède plusieurs fonctions et est facilement programmable. La fonction de réplication de programme d'une journée à l'autre est très pratique. Interface propre et intuitif. La seule chose que je n'aime pas est que l'écran sur le thermostat est très petit. J'aurais aimé que la température demandée (consigne) soit affichée en même temps que la température actuelle. Il faut une opération manuelle pour voir la consigne. Aussi peut-être un bouton 'Auto' pour remettre le thermostat sur la programmation régulière après avoir fait un ajustement manuel. Pour remettre en Auto, il faut absolument utiliser l'application. Mais ce n'est pas un grave problème et je suis malgré tout très satisfait.

Very good product
It took me a little time to figure out how to get the programing to do what I needed it to do. I have a baseboard heater in a room addition that isn't well serviced by the whole house forced air system. My problem was remembering to turn it off. I used the automatic setting to turn the unit down to a temp the room never reaches each evening. So if I'm going to be in the room and raise the temp to be comfortable (automatic override) , the unit automatically resets later that day so it is effectively shut down. It is working great and I'm very pleased.
Also, we had a cold snap (now called a POLAR VORTEX - sounds like something from Marvel Comics) while I was out of town for a week. I was able to use the app remotely and check in to make sure the house wasn't freezing up.
The only bad side was the unexpected tariff charge thanks to the idiot some members of my own family voted for in '24. It raised the price by more than half of what I paid for it online. The charge was assessed by UPS, the delivery service, plus their fee to collect it, plus a fee from US gov to process. There was a disclaimer when I ordered but, being an eternal optimist, I figured it was too small a purchase to be "tariffed". Got that one wrong.
To the Sinope web guys - this page is half English half French but won't submit until I answer the French questions I can't read? So answering anyway by guessing.

Débranchez le routeur pendant une minute, puis rebranchez-le. Cela devrait aider l'appareil. 2. Essayez de placer la passerelle Hilo à moins de 12 pouces du routeur.

Had it a month now and it is so much better than the manual programmed thermostats I had before.
I installed in my cottage/ski chalet and I have 5 units, one for each room. All my connections were 2 lead. No other brand supports two lead. The installation was fast and set up easy and intuitive.
I can prewarm the house hours before so my wife is happy and therefore I am happy

I tried a few different options, then arrived on this unit. It works 100% of the time and was easy to set up and use. The area I'm in has a lot of power outages, which caused other thermostats to stop working, but not this one.

Excellent Thermostats That Could Use a Software Upgrade
Bought four of these during Sinope's Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale and love them. This was our first foray into smart thermostats, as we upgraded from the old-school rotary-style ones that all the units in our building had. My wife and I love everything about these, from the colour displays showing the current weather and temperature to the highly customizable settings within the app. That said, the app could use a bit of work as it's sometimes a bit laggy and doesn't always reflect the current settings unless things are clicked on multiple times or the current page is refreshed. If the devs could fix that, this would definitely get a five-star rating. Other than that, very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend these to anyone looking for smart thermostats for their baseboard heaters.

I am very happy that Sinopé continues to provide thermostats that can be used with electric baseboard heaters that have one cable with two wires and a ground wire in it. Very few thermostats are available for these kind of electric baseboard heaters.
The installation was super easy (make sure to turn off the breaker before doing any work on electrical equipment) and the Sinopé: Nevieweb app works great on the iPhone. It is super easy to connect the thermostats to the app and the app makes it easy to program the thermostats.
Integration with the Apple Home app is really easy as well. Press the two buttons on the front once to activate connection mode, then press them a second time to bring up a QR code to scan on your iPhone to add the thermostat to Apple Home.

Le thermostat est très bien. On a diminué la fenêtre où sont affiché les informations, la moitié en hauteur de l’ancien.
La température extérieure affichée est plus grande mais celle extérieure est petite de même que l’heure. Pour la couleur on le remarque uniquement avec un soleil jaune quand il est présent.
J’aime bien les thermostats Sinopé, belle qualité.

Travaille comme promis mais la capacité de programmer différentes plages par jour aurait été un facteur très apprécié et lui aurait donné un 5 étoiles.

Modern and work with Hilo
I love these thermostats. They are easy to manage on the Neviweb app and easy to program. I also have a water heater control built into my system to avoid heating water during peak events. I can now see all of my rooms temperatures on one screen and know right away which heater is on and at what power. I can start heating before arriving at home and control everything easily when travelling.
Sinope 4000W for baseboards
This one has worked fine since its installation. The tec help was excellent and quickly despatched a replacement when the first didn’t work. The app is easy to use to automate heating requirements. It works with Hilo and I’ve saved on my hydro bill already!

I have electric baseboard heaters without a common wire, so I was excited to see that I had an option for a smart thermometer - and this was literally it! Install was super easy. One thermostat kept turning off and restarting, but some solutions found online seem to be helping (I.e., switching my wifi configurations). Overall, going great!

The thermostats work well. I can program them with apple homekit - the system I am experienced with.
There was no instructions on how to call up the homekit code and no homekit code in the packaging. It was early in the day; so I was able to talk with a Sinope representative on the phone. If I had tried to Integrate the thermostats at night, I would not have been successful.

Works Great But Missing Intensity Info
This thermostat works great at controlling the thermostat while allowing me remote control through my smart home network. The rebate I received through Hydro Quebec's HILO program also helped make this thermostat much more affordable.
The only downside I see is that my old thermostat would show the intensity of the baseboard radiator heating. Whether it was being heated slightly to maintain the temperature, or whether the radiator was running at full blast to heat up a cold room. Seeing this data on the thermsotat display would have been a nice-to-have.

J’ai installé ce thermostat dans le vide sanitaire pour contrôler les deux plinthes électriques. Le thermostat a été très facile à installer et à programmer. Il est aussi très facile d’utilisation sur l’application. Je peux maintenant gérer la température du vide sanitaire de façon efficace sans avoir à y descendre.

Highly recommend these thermostats! Installation was a breeze, and they've delivered massive savings on our electricity bill while dramatically improving home comfort. The Sinope baseboard thermostat's proportional control is key; it holds the temperature perfectly, unlike simple on/off models. I love the convenience of the app for setting schedules, utilizing geofencing, and seeing my energy consumption data. A top-notch product!
Clean simple but maybe too simple
Arrives quickly, installs very easily and works great. I installed in my garage and it is finally nice to be able to see how much energy it takes to heat the garage. The only shortfall is the limitations on automation. One of the main reason I got this smart thermostat is to automatically control the set temperature based on outdoor temperature. I have Hydro DT rate and have an expensive rate when it is colder than -12. My goal is to lower set temperature when it is colder than -12 and raise it back again when it is warmer than -12. This can't be done in the naviweb scenes.

Thermostat isn't calibrated correctly
The unit functions just fine, mostly. When it senses things are too cold, the heater turns on, when it senses things are too hot, the heater turns off. The smart features are robust enough, and it's useful being able to schedule the unit based on when I'm at home or away, or asleep.
The big issue? It thinks temperatures are about 3-5°F warmer than they actually are. Now there are workarounds - just set the unit to a warmer temperature. But it makes it much harder to use in tandem with other smart thermostats. I can usually tell my digital assistant "set all thermostats to 68 degrees" and they will reliability switch. However I'll always have to make an exception for this Sinopé device, and set it to 71 or 72 manually. Kind of annoying.

La température extérieure est affichée avec précision. Les photos jointes le démontrent. Notez que le thermomètre et le thermostat ne sont pas au même endroit dans la maison, ce qui explique l'écart entre les températures intérieures affichées.
L'installation et la connexion Wifi sont simples.
L'application est très bien conçue, très visuelle et facile d'utilisation. Très simple de programmer le thermostat sur 7 jours et de copier cette programmation sur les autres unités sans avoir à les programmer un à un.
Maintenant j'attends mon Calypso avec impatience !

Great wifi line voltage thermostat
I needed a wifi line voltage thermostat that had no neutral wire which is hard to find, so a true two wire setup. The Sinope fit the bill. I've been really happy with it. I think the app is great as well. Being able to see how long the baseboard was on and how much it cost. The schedules are really easy to set up too. My only frustration is they are in Canada and I am in the US and currently on $120 thermostat. It cost me $80 brokerage fees to get it to the US. I want to replace all my other thermostats, but don't want to pay the high brokerage/tarrif fees. I'll wait and see what happens.

I have not seen anything in color in this device. I still like more the previous version because the screen was different than most. This one is very similar to most devices out there. Time & outside temp are very small compared to previous version. They don't even come in black.

Automating Baseboard Heating
I've never used a smart thermostat before, but this one was very easy to install and start using. I kind of wish I had tried the Zigbee version, but perhaps I'll do that in the future. At one point my internet connection went down and I couldn't control the thermostat remotely - but it was only briefly and didn't turn out to be a big deal. I will most likely get another soon.

This was the only IPhone controlled 2 wire thermostat that I could find. It works very well. I had a little difficulty with installation but Sinope was very helpful and gave me detailed assistance via email and I got it up and running quickly. I am pleased with its operation and will be getting more for the other rooms in my house.

The old baseboard heater thermostats were not very accurate and you had to change them in every room. It's great to have a wifi option that allows scheduled set point changes. I have 7 Sinope thermostats to control all of my rooms and they work very well. With rebates through the Hilo program offered by Quebec Hydro they were almost free.

Great looking and unobtrusive thermostat
have looked at smart thermostats for my baseboard heater for a while. And I considered many of the options, of which there aren't a lot. I ended up going with Sinopé because they are Wi-Fi and don't require a hub.
The other reason I went with these over the others is because they are compatible with two wire installations. Some of the wiring in the older part of my home only has two while others have four.
I had the old Sinopé style with a digital screen, with no colour and it worked remarkably well. It does not give humidity, but I have other devices to show me that. It is able to go up in half degree celsius increments. The new screen is smaller, but easy enough to read at a glance. Key to me is outdoor temperature.
It also tracks your usage, which is a big plus. I would be worried about later down the road whether it will always work. I hope they keep the service alive.
The only thing I find is that the usage sometimes cuts back the power output early depending on the temperature. So it might be 22 or 23 degrees. But while the air has hit the temperature the room still feels cold and the temp drops and rises by small amounts for a while. I almost wish there was a sixth power blast option to just run the heater at full strength for a period of time.
I know the triac circuit cuts in and out to achieve a lower heat output which is great when it is not super cold. But I'd like to have that as an option in the software.
Overall it looks nice, is unobtrusive, and blends into the decor nicely. I will be buying more for other rooms in my house.

Although this thermostat is advertised to work with a 2-wire system, it did not, costing me over $20 to return it after trying an install.

Toutefois, notre thermostat TH1123 pour plinthe électrique est disponible en version zigbee. Veuillez noter qu'il y quelques différences au niveau de l'affichage des informations à l'écran. Bonjour, j’aimerais savoir pourquoi le thermostat Sinopé th144 4000w pour plinthes a-il une précision de fonctionnement de 0.5degré, alors qu’un Thermostat Aube (votre ancienne cie) pour la même utilisation a une précision de 0.15

Merci pour votre question. Notre thermostat TH1144WF a une précision de fonctionnement de 0,15 degré. C'est sa résolution (incrément de contrôle) qui est de 0,5 degrés.

Merci pour votre question. Le thermostat pour plinthe électrique est un thermostat à haute tension qui est compatible avec des installations de 120/208/240 Vca. Notre seul modèle compatible avec une alimentation basse tension est notre thermostat bas voltage : https://www.sinopetech.com/products/thermostat-intelligent-bas-voltage
À noter que ce dernier requiert 3 fils pour l'installation.

Bonjour, est-ce que vous avez des thermostats où le contrôleur de charge est dissocié de l'interface? Exemple, le contrôleur de charge est installé directement dans la plinthes et l'interface au centre de la pièce. J'ai des plinthes où je configure la température directement dessus et je ne veux pas passer des fils pour avoir contrôle au mur. Idéalement aussi compatible avec une solution ouverte tel que Home Assistant. Merci pour vos beaux produits, j'aimerais bien les intégrés à ma maison intelligente.

Merci pour votre question. Nous n'avons malheureusement pas de solution pour votre type d'installation. Nos thermostats sont seulement offert en une seule interface qui doit être connecté au mur pour contrôler les appareils électriques. Il n'est pas possible de faire le contrôle directement sur les appareils comme vous le souhaitez.

Does the geofencing work with multiple devices? Me and my wife come home at different times.
Hi and thank you for your question! It is now possible to link more than one mobile device to the geofencing feature by adding sub-users in the Sinopé Neviweb app (maximum of 4 sub-users). In the event that sub-users add their mobile device to the account’s geofencing functionality, all mobile devices must be outside the predefined perimeter for the status to change to Away. To change the status to Present, at least one recognized mobile device in the account must be inside the predefined perimeter.
Only the primary user of the account can enable or disable geofencing and change its settings. Sub-users can only add their mobile device. The account owner can also remove a sub-user’s mobile device from the geofencing feature.
